Dear Sweet Friend,
As the year winds down, many of us start looking back on all the ways we’ve been blessed and how we can be a blessing to others. For some, that includes giving a little extra before the year’s end, knowing it helps others and comes with the added benefit of a tax deduction.
But did you know that the greatest deduction we could ever receive has nothing to do with taxes?
Romans 6:23 reminds us, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” On our own, we owe a debt we could never pay. But Jesus, in His great love for us, gave His life to completely cancel that debt. He didn’t reduce it—He erased it! And in its place, He gave us the greatest return: eternal life.
This is the season to reflect on His ultimate gift. Just like a tax deduction lightens our financial burden, Jesus lightened the burden of our sin completely, offering us peace, freedom, and joy. His gift doesn’t require paperwork or deadlines—only a heart willing to say, “Yes, Lord.”
As we close this year, let’s celebrate the sweetness of this gift and commit to sharing it with those around us. Whether through our time, talents, or treasures, every act of generosity points others to the One who gave us everything.
Thank you for being part of Sweet Monday this year. Your partnership helps us continue sharing the good news of Jesus with women across the globe.
May your end-of-year season be filled with His peace and joy,
In His love,
Paula
